I'm not sure I really want to see an Aaron Sorkin version of a Steve Jobs biopic. Sorkin is a great writer, no doubt, but I think he has a better handle on unlikable characters (mainly because he himself is often an unlikable character). Steve Jobs always seemed like the essence of entrepreneurial spirit and altruism to me. There's a touch of hippy. If you compare Steve Jobs upbringing to Sorkin's -- you couldn't have asked for a more dissimilar pairing. I don't think it's impossible for a writer to write characters that don't share his same mentality -- I just think it is for Sorkin. The line "If you were the inventors of Facebook, then you would have invented Facebook," is the exact same attitude Sorkin had when "sharing" writing credit over many episodes of West Wing (particularly the episode that won him an Emmy). Who he is as a person bleeds through in his work. I don't particularly want to see a Sorkin-ized Steve Jobs. Maybe I'm just too big a fan of Steve Jobs that I don't want to see his life turned into a gritty in-your-face-so-suck-it melodrama.
