Shit. Not sure I dare look at my existing contracts (too late!) - but I'll definitely bear it in mind from now on.

I'm not a lawyer, nor do I seriously expect to ever sell a script, but this approach by writers of any kind to basically sign away by default all copyrights seems wrong. Instead of having the situation where if a format is not mentioned then you lose those rights, the contract should always be worded if a format is not mentioned then you retain those rights.
