I heard this was going to be truer to Dick's story than the Arnold version. Doesn't look it to me...

I'm really, really torn on this one. I'm a big fan of the Arnold one. There's just something about it -- the ambiguous almost clumsy nature of the plot leaves it open-ended in a way I just love. This looks... pretty damn awesome. Not a big fan of Kate Beckinsale's hubby (the Underworld are so... all over the place). It looks like they got what I like about the Arnold version (the uncertainty of who this guy is -- what's real and what isn't) with one HUGE caveat-- Did they take out the Mars plot? With Mars gone, I'm not sure how you could even call it Total Recall. Or the obnoxious title Dick puts on half his adapted novels :p.

This looks cheap and instantly forgettable.
