Perhaps the allure to text, talk, whatever...at a theater is simply because you are not allowed to? Then again, when my girlfriend asks me five minutes into a movie: "whats going on," I think it could just be people have no idea what theater etiquette should be because they have such short attention spans. This is why I think short films are on the rise.
We are too connected to our devices and that is why we can't drive and text, watch movies and text, and be in classes and text.
They are young and will eventually become too reliant on these devices.
