This is one of five movies I'm looking forward to seeing this year: this, Spider-man, The Dark Knight Rises, Dark Seasons and Muppets (OK, I'm well behind on that one).

Here's a question: I seem to notice a lot of foreign trailers for movies tend to focus on the story more than the American version. Why do you suppose that is? Are we really more attuned to bombastic visuals vs. story?

One of the best trailers I'm seen in a while. I love Scott, he rarely disappoints, and Damon Lindelof is another guy who is fantastic. Every interview with the guy is both informing and funny. Oh yeah, lost. The talent in the movie is top notch as well. I can't wait.

Muppets is great.

That's an interesting point. I haven't been attuned to that, but I'll take your word for it. The difference between the U.S. and U.K. cut of the Prometheus trailers is pretty stark. You know what? Sounds like the basis of a good GITS post along with your question. I'll try to get to that tomorrow.

Take a look at this Japanese trailer for Pixar's _Brave_ and you'll see there's a strong focus on the overall story vs what we've seen through the American trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8cLhckSAAw
