If there is *single* film i'll go watch at the Colossus_UFO_Saucer this June or in 2012 - that's it. Intriguing SciFi to say the least.

Thanks for posting the trailer. It looks like a return to Alien's disturbing sci-fi horror roots. I was one of the many who read the alleged Spaights' script "Alien Harvest" that was supposed to be the script for this film (he later denied it was his work). At 1:34 of this trailer, though, there's a scene with something that was in the apocryphal "Harvest" script--the idea that the Aliens started out as insect-sized (you can see the little Alien writhing around under the flaslight beam). And at the end Fassbender says something about "big things having small beginnings." That's one of the several reasons I'm interested in seeing the final movie, to see if any other concepts from the alleged bogus script made it in the actual movie.

Speaking of Jon Spaihts, I am contact with him to do a Q&A. Not sure how much, if any, he can discuss Prometheus, but I'll be sure to pose some questions. In fact, if anybody has questions they'd like to ask Jon, feel free to list them here. Can't promise anything, but we'll see.

That's great, Scott. You really target some great interview subjects. His script "Shadow 19" blew me away. It was an excellent action/adventure. I've heard that it won't move forward into production, even though I couldn't think of much more a sci-fi/adventure audience could want. Anyway, in terms of questions, I'd like to ask him what he thinks is the balance between providing too much detail in choreographing an action scene in the screenplay vs. too little. In other words, how do you know when to stop and allow the director/CGI artists, etc., some room to take over and when to describe it more yourself. Also, what pre-writing work does he do (outlining, treatment, scene breakdowns, etc.)? Does he start with characters and build the plot around them or does he start with plot/cool scenes and write characters to fit? Finally, is his script Passengers going into production? I heard Keanu Reeves purchased it with the intent of getting it made and possibly starring in it. It was a cool story, sci-fi with a lot of heart, and it would be nice to see it brought to life. CJ, I will definitely add these to my list of questions, and see where the conversation goes. I thought Passengers was fantastic. Really surprising script in that it felt like it would go this way genre-wise, but is really at its heart a drama. And a damn fine one, too. I'm reading Shadow 19 next.
