I decided to watch the first five minutes on my iPhone... Two hours later... I watched this majestic piece on 4x2". A sad thing. Anthony Quinn's performance was extraordinary, particularly his accent and the few Greek words he spoke. The awful way the female characters were treated has stayed with me for days. The sound the ransacking widows made me think me of Euripedes' play, The Furies. The film keeps repeating on me much the same way Schindler's List did.
