Yes, interesting comparison between the refusal here: Snake is being bribed - refuses because he's suspicious, perhaps just to maintain his tough image and sense of power; whereas Luke is just young and naive and trying to meet what he sees as his other responsibilities, e.g. get home on time. I have to say, the first part of this clip bored me - the part before the script excerpt above - because it is a scene I have seen SO many times before: the superior, who feeds us the protagonist's backstory by reading the protagonist's credentials to him (or her, as in Clarice in Silence of the Lambs). Hmm...
