I do remember the first time I saw Reservoir Dogs. It was in an old indie cinema in Paris, with Gargoyles and red curtains. I saw it with my then boyfriend and his sister. And I thought "Whoa".
It was then the first script I bought (in book form, published by Faber & Faber as I recall) and the first film that made me want to write screenplays - before I went on a fifteen-year hiatus. :)
