You know, I really don't remember the first time I saw it. It wasn't at the theaters, that much I'm sure. It seems like it may have been around Thanksgiving time when it first came out on VHS. I do recall when it came out, though. I had an E.T. t-shirt and our friendly neighborhood Boo Radley went and saw it twenty some-odd times.

July 15, 1982. My 14th birthday. The only movie I remember seeing in the theater with both my mom and my dad. A true classic.
