When sending out a spec script, how should one make it known there is an international aspect to the script? The script I'm finishing up and will be sending out by the end of the month (hopefully), largely takes part in Ireland. When I send it out should I come out and say that? Should it be part of the logline?

@Marc - I don't imagine it's necessary to come out and say it in a formal statement. If it's relevant, it'll come through in your logline. If not, I would bet they'll get it from the first ten pages, no? Not to knock on Ireland, I love it, but I wonder if that's really an international selling point considering the state of their economy which I understand to mean less buying power when it comes to foreign rights.

George Lucas on The Daily Show cited studios' concern about foreign market ("60% of their profits") as a hurdle faced when getting Red Tails distributed. http://www.hulu.com/watch/317572/the-daily-show-with-jon-stewart-george-lucas?c=64:493

A problem many execs are missing is that many times the so-called "American" films are just NOT good. Instead of green lighting compelling creative ideas they go forward with endless sequels and remakes.
