I think this situation is pretty contained. p.62 PAUL: I found a way to change the display language. I figured that out, and you didn’t. Why? DAN: Because I didn’t. Just like you and every other person on this planet, there are some things I know and some things I don’t. p.74 PAUL: What should I do? DAN: I don’t know. PAUL: That’s right -- just like everyone else on the planet, there are some things you know and some things you don’t.

I watched the movie for the first time after reading the script, I think it is really brilliant and well written. And most of the dialog were able to make into the film, I was waiting for the line "About three inches to my right ....." but when it was delivered in the film, he just said "I am in a coffin and I think the situation is pretty contained". It was odd Now given, If I would have seen the movie without reading the script, I wouldn't have paid attention to the line at all and it will be one of the many lines, so if Chris is reading this, please throw some light on why the line was changed in the film? One more question I have, in his interview Chris said that he wanted to write a movie which can be shot in just 5 grand. And being a filmmaker myself I can relate to it. But on IMDB it says the movie was made for 3 million dollars and did a business of 1 mill only. Which drops it in the category of unsuccessful films. That is really a shame and most of the people are actually turned off by it. Again if Chris is reading this can you throw some light why did the movie needed so much money to be made, I mean it has Ryan Reynolds attached to it so I knew it will be couple hundred thousands may be, but 3 mill looks like a lot of money for movie with one character in one location.

I think some of the most terrifying dialogue comes on pages 67 and 68. I think this is where it really hits us that no one with the power to help Paul really cares about him at all. To me that's the major horror element - that the world is just a giant faceless corporation. Chris did a great job with adding just a touch of humanity to Jabir thus making a character like Alen Davenport the biggest monster in the script.
