Paralympian lives in a world where she is amazing for having overcome her paralysis and being an athlete - a role model to parapalegics and people overcoming adversity of all kinds. After an accident she discovers she has feeling in her legs. This causes her to question everything she knows about herself in the world. Her parents were always proud of her for dealing with her condition, it kept them very involved in her life. All her friends are parathletes. Now she is able bodied and doesn't know who she is. She decides she wants to know what kind of an athlete she could be in the able bodied world. She trains in a gym where no one knows her and then returns to her wheel chair to her normal life keeping her two worlds separate. Why disturb everyone's perception of her if she is never going to be an olympian? She could reamin a paralympian. Would it be affirming that paralympians were not real olympians if she was not able to compete well in the Olympics? Another athlete discovers she is able bodied and accuses her of betrayal. Friends figure she will want able bodied friends now. Finally she decides she needs to know for herself if she could compete as a cyclist. She enters a race. She doesn't win but makes a good showing. She meets athletes from both worlds and builds a bridge between them. The cycling world sees athletes as athletes.
