wrote an interesting article regarding male vs. female perspective. He predicts that Merida in Brave will be a "boy in girl's clothing" type of character, where she is not presenting a true female perspective. I hope that she's a bit deeper than that and that the two female writers of Brave put a real stamp on the story. But after watching the trailer I have my doubts. I guess the test would be if one could swap the main character for a boy and it wouldn't change the story, then his prediction would be correct.
