Cheers Scott, again I love these anecdotes - especially Billy Wilder's refusal to be awed by any unforeseen problem or indeed expression of grandeur (Montgomery Clift!). From William Holden in Sunset, to the dead narrator, to Fred MacMurray in Double, all these stories Wilder told us seem to have come great through this determination to make something rather than any preconceptions he had starting out. Thank again for these, inspirational as ever!

Hey Scott, FYI, the links for parts 4, 5, and 6 aren't working. I managed to get through to them by just editing the url for one of the other parts, but thought you might want to know anyway.

Thanks, Matt. I fixed them. Damn computer gremlins, again.
