An interesting meeting in the category: A monologue. I like it.

I do like the way Dominic doesn't say anything during this - doesn't need to say anything, really, because Brian's self-loathing is doing all the emotional work for him. And the way that, rather than the traditional route of the undercover cop's identity being revealed by the chief criminal, Brian is forced to betray his identity himself - in order to save the life of someone who hates him, incidentally. As Scott says, some great technical dialogue too - the way Brian knows exactly what to ask for, the way he's asked for his badge number (the final nail in the coffin of his undercover identity). All in all, a great moment from what I consider to be an underrated (though admittedly not perfect) movie.

Wow, that was good. I need to seek out this movie.
