Al Powell from Die Hard Max from Flight of the Navigator, Maria Portokalos from My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Dr. Leo Marvin from What About Bob?, Gilda from Gilda, Bud White from L.A. Confidential, Ellie from UP, Jackie Brown from Jackie Brown, Karen Sisco from Out of Sight, and Nora Charles from The Thin Man. I loved the live blogging. I think it would work well if there were a predetermined topic of conversation to direct focus.

I personally would love to see a list / archive of Recent Posts. For instance, one now would read "Suggestion City", "Earth", "Q&A..." Instead of scrolling all the way down to see a missed post and even to another page, a List on the right could be convenient! Just my 3 cents :D

For the script reading series, what about adding two "story types" to the genre list, since these are both so popular with buyers right now: contained thriller and found footage?

I think that's an excellent idea for our last two script reads of the year in December: contained thriller and found footage.

Scripts I’d like to read/analyse: I’m interested in checking out all genres for the learning curve, but I’m most interested in dramas - especially ones with complicated plotlines, either ensemble films or films with lots of subplots. But perhaps, rather than doing the “character” “structure” etc. categories for a week, for some scripts we could really focus the discussion on comparing the drafts: what has changed, and why the rewriters made those decisions. Three that I have found scripts available for on mypdfscripts are: Black Swan (March 2009, Oct 2009, Jan 2010) 127 Hours (2009, April 2010) American Beauty (“early” and “late” versions) I’m also interested in reading Lethal Weapon - even though it’s not the kind of movie that I watch very much, it comes up in so many books and articles as an example of amazing script-writing.
