A screenwriter I knew in 2005 made a trailer with scenes from other films put together with music for pitching his script. I'm sure many people did this before him. So I'm still left wondering -- What preceding trends have there been to suggest this might stick around? A few years ago 3D was going to be the future but now doubts have arisen and some have abandoned ship. Is this a temporary trend? Or, as suggested in the live blog yesterday, is this the future?
