i have to admit, the shot of rosebud doesn't really do anything for me...i don't feel like it revealed anything significant about kane's character to me. the whole film was building up to that final scene, and all i really gained from it was that kane missed his childhood...then again, i'm not a huge fan of the film (apart from the technical aspects) in the first place...
