Can we include the Triangle as a quasi-major urban area given your proximity? Count me in for a local meet-up.
Scott at 2011-10-10 18:20:52:
Sure, Mike. Happy to do a meet-up in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area if we get enough interest.
Caitlin Podiak at 2011-10-10 18:33:57:
I would go to a meet-up in the Bay Area.
L. Fernando at 2011-10-10 19:02:39:
I'm in Seattle and would definitely meet up with anyone else. I also visit the Bay regularly, (I'm here now!), so if the timing were right, I could join in there as well!
Amy Butler at 2011-10-10 19:23:01:
Any Michiganders?
Judy at 2011-10-10 19:23:01:
Triangle during Thanksgiving week ... or Orlando area any other time
Nick West at 2011-10-10 19:41:58:
If anybody else is in Salt Lake, we already have a group that gets together every Sunday to read scripts, drink wine, and give feedback. It's filled with amateurs and professionals. Hit me up at krushjudgement@gmail.com if you're interested. Warning: We are positive and supportive, but we will tear apart your script to make it better. No one gets a pass.

I live in America's MItten.
Jeff Kirschner at 2011-10-11 00:06:53:
@caitlin - count me in.
Courtney Chambers at 2011-10-11 00:12:37:
@Mike: So far you are the nearest neighbor I've found. A ton of Memphians root for the Cardinals. Plus... we have the farm league Redbirds!
januaryfire at 2011-10-11 00:35:53:
Portland, Oregon. Count me in for the remote viewing. Maybe webcams or Skype?
Anna Kelian at 2011-10-11 03:02:27:
Beirut calling GITS. Anyone from the Middle East? How 'bout a warm Christmas in Dubai? or a ski-trip in Faraya, Lebanon in February? or we'll crash at my place in Anjar, Lebanon next summer? It's the best place for writing: tranquility, scenery, nature...
Dharmesh at 2011-10-11 03:20:26:
I'm from Birmingham, UK. Future meet-up possible.
Sam at 2011-10-11 03:32:53:
I'm in south London - would love to meet others locally. The London Screenwriters Festival is on at the end of the month. Anyone going? Could be a good meet up time? Sam
Debbie Moon at 2011-10-11 03:53:50:
I'm in Wales, but I can get across to Birmingham. Anyone else out there?
tracinell at 2011-10-11 09:14:14:
Hi Saint and Amy B., I'm a Mitten-gander too, Troy. Starbucks? Somerset Mall?
Chris Roberts at 2011-10-11 09:30:14:
I'm in Cookeville, just the other side of Nashville. Was hoping there were people in Nashville.

I lived in Al Ain when I was a kid. It would be so strange to go back to the UAE, everything's changed so much. Maybe some day.
Just_Hiltz at 2011-10-11 11:57:33:
Scott, why not use your divine influence and get us into the WGA library at 3rd and Fairfax, and then go across the street and meet up and talk? That would be a great day. I drive by that building all the time and it's like the Lost Ark, vibrating with energy! I know MANY of our friends on this site are from all over the world, but man to be sooooo close as to smell the action would be an experience!! It could be a a happening thing. Just my 2cents.
Amy Butler at 2011-10-11 17:49:41:
I live in Ann Arbor area. amyrbutler@gmail.com This would be cool :)
Scott at 2011-10-11 22:36:00:
Well, those of you who live within in shouting distance of each other, I encourage you to seek each other out. We'll see what transpires with the GITS Meet-Up: LA event goes and hopefully learn a lot from that for other possible meet-ups. Question: Does anyone know of a live-chat web service where we could access a chat room for an hour every so often and do a virtual global meet-up that way?
Sean Z P Harris at 2011-10-12 02:54:07:
For those of you living in the UK and have the means to travel to London, the film group OTTfilms (http://ottfilms.co.uk/forum), which took over from GITS Club, hold a group meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm in the The Lukin (upstairs) 4 Conway Street, London W1T 6BB. It would be wonderful to incorporate this meeting with a GITS meet up, especially since members from the old GITS Club forum have made the transition to the OTT forum. Scott - Could you pehaps give another shout out re. OTT and incorporate the GITS meet-up?
Sean Z P Harris at 2011-10-12 03:00:00:
RE online meet up, could something like Google hangout work? You could create a Google+ account as can members of GITS who want to partake, then ... Ah. I've just discovered that there is 10 person limit to any session. Bah.
Scott at 2011-10-12 05:14:42:
Absolutely!

Hey, I'm up in toronto, and I have been known to enjoy discussions of a scripting nature over a pint or two.
