Silas, don't tease me, bro! Which one is it?

Clooney's really close, but I'd widen the margin a bit. I'd say the the best era ran from '76 all the way to '80. By the way, props to George for trying to bring stylish yet intelligent 70s style film making back to the forefront again.

Don't tell him yet... ;) Scott, here's a hint: this film has two actors legendary for a classic comedic protag/antag pairing from the 1970s.

Great list! What is so incredibly cool about George Clooney is that he uses his A-List status to push through films that may have probably only been able to be produced in the 70's. I would have personally included: "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (1966), "Barry Lyndon" (1975), and "Carrie" (1976) I would also pushed the Golden Era a few more years to include: "Star Wars" (1977), "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", "Annie Hall" (1977), "Eraserhead" (1977), "Days of Heaven" (1978), and "Apocalypse Now" (1979), "Manhattan" (1979), and "Alien" (1979).

wrt Python movies, I would have included Life of Brian over Holy Grail. And also Brazil, which is almost a Python movie, and Woody Allen's Sleeper, Love and Death and Play it again, Sam.
