You KNEW you'd pull me in with this one, eh? GREAT scene...great movie! And a great cameo by Jarre with Denzel. The script is so much different than the movie. Thanks Scott!

BTW, I was at the 125th anniversary and it was BLISTERING hot and humid. Almost unbearable with no breeze whatsoever, and these guys were all dressed up in WOOL uniforms. It had to be 96 degrees. They said they loved it because it was that hot 125 years ago during the battle, so the more realistic the better. BTW, Jarre is the guy who almost fights Denzel and Morgan breaks it up. Later, at the end, he says, "Give 'em Hell, 54th!"

Trip enlisted to become a free man -- the irony of it all is that he's still treated the same as he was enslaved. He refuses to to be broken but in the end (tears flowing down his cheek) he's still a man.
