"While books are personal, movies are shared—a group of people in a single room laughing at the same joke, crying at the same scene, being frightened at the same crescendo. This was truly poetic." Unfortunately, film as an experience shared by a large group at the same time is going by the wayside these days.

"I get a thrill out of making other people cry." I probably have too much fun with this. I love getting a rise out of the readers, a laugh, a gawk or a tear. It's much fun.
