1) I love this cameo. 2) This is an underrated movie. 3) This was also a David Koepp script early in his career, as soon to be writer of everything blockbuster. 4) There's a V.O. gag Zemeckis lifted from this film that is employed throughout Forrest Gump. He has a character talking about something in V.O. and then the person in the scene says the exact line which gets a laugh. There's a typo -- It's not from 1982. It's an early 90s film. Death Becomes Her is a personal fav of mine.

I remember that V.O. gag in Gump. And he used it in Death Becomes Her? There's Hollywood, leading the way in the green movement... through recycling ideas! Thanks for the heads-up about 1982. Now corrected.

I think a lot of it has to do with shot choice -- "a little too much to drink" as Hel drops a liquor bottle on top of a ridiculous number of empties. The car goes over the edge, and they embrace as fire from the exploding car spits up between them.
