The whole idea of this series of board game movies is flat-out insulting. It smacks of Hollywood execs and marketing-types getting together and deciding people aren't smart enough to tell the difference between dinner and garbage. "Ummm, serve them this! They'll eat anything!"

Heh... while of course being as irked as Annika with the whole board game to movie craze, I must say, one need not look any further than John Landis's take on CLUE.

It's a guilty pleasure. Terminally silly but I laughed quite a bit. For me, Tim Curry's finest hour.

(Remember that whole "3 different endings" thing Paramount tried with this? Depending on your geographic area, you either got a guilty Miss Scarlet, a guilty Mrs. Peacock, or a guilty EVERYBODY. Strange marketing ploy...)

"Hope springs eternal," heh. The slinky movie was funny, and proves sharp and funny writing, good timing, and deft touch with expression trumps primitive animation.

So a story about slinkies. There'll need to be lots and lots of stairs. An all Escher world. In 3D. That'd I see. Hint, hint, Hollywood. ("Escherland: A Romance of Coiling Dimensions")
