I'm cautiously optimistic about this one since it's from the producers of the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake, which was quite well done although not as good as the original.

Doesn't look like a prequel to me.

It does look like it does something most remakes do, which is spell out shit we don't need to know. Like "Hey we found this ship in Antartica and need you to go look at it -- instead of just, you know, having them discover it and go look at it.

Let's remake Alien with Kurt Russel as the lead. That'd be awesome.

Sorry, but this looks like disposable cinema. The CGI effects make me cringe. Espeically, considering that the 1982 remake effects still hold up.
