Had deja vu when watching Toy Story 3... If you have kids (and even if you don't), The Brave Little Toaster is must-viewing.

Love Jack Nicholson as the evil air conditioner!

I forgot about this movie! Used to see it on cable sometimes when I was a kid. Loved the voice talent involved, even then. Didn't know who the actors were, of course, but knew they were distinctive.

I'm reminded of the time I took my then 4 year-old son to the UCLA campus, carrying a toy toaster, blanket, radio, lamp and toy vacuum cleaner to look for The Master. We sat on a hill together on campus until we spotted a young man walk by with red hair. Thus having found The Master, we made our way home.

It was one of those simple, profound moments in the life of a parent and their child. And also speaks to the power of movies.

I think I'll have to do a Midnight Musing on that story...

OMG! I thought no one else even knew about this about movie. Looking back now the tone of this film is very mature. Not even dark necessarily, but its contemplation of loneliness, separation, and yes death made this film more ambitious than most animated films. Not to mention the dreams by the Toaster; wow did those scenes give me nightmares. Plus Radio was hilarious. I LOVE Radio.

@Alandre: Radio was voiced by Jon Lovitz. Terrific character. I love this movie. Must have seen it 10 times with my sons.
