Adam Mansbach is an accomplished and witty writer able to execute the concept in a satisfying way.

"A Fictional History of the United States With Huge Chunks Missing" is another gem of his.

And it all began with a well phrased (yay writers) universally-felt sentiment on facebook. In nytimes, re Mansbach and his book, "...the zeitgeist. He completely honed in on it.” There's a small wave of kid books for adults right now, of them all, Mansbach nailed the most universally shared moment of every parent (vs. for instance the very funny but maybe not so univ embraced, all my friends are dead, first pages here).

Another comment on facebook I hope turns book (so far it's grown to blog), by prior punker (like Gore Verbinski, nice to see the fresh zesty spirit of punk live on) Steve Albini, with most charming concept ever, "What I made Heather for dinner," story here.
