It looks amazing from here! I'm crazy busy, but more on my own time. Still writing and loving it. I am guest hosting on #scriptchat next Sunday. I've achieved a goal in becoming a successful writer. I am reaping the rewards and giving back to the writing community as well.

Honestly, I would be enjoying the fruits of my labor. I also would be working on independent projects, working on sets, and networking with heavy hitters I only dream to work with.

Marvelous. I'm flying over the Hollywood sign in a helicopter because I've just written a film that grossed $3 billion.

To be considered a younger american Chan Wook Park. Edgy writing with edgy themed stories. And to script doctor in the shadows when I'm not working on my own movies.

I'm sure there will be plenty of Hank Moody, Drinking and some Writing, throughout.

I'm currently deleting emails (no reply of course) from the numerous agents and managers that ignored m-e five years ago.

Soon after -- I touch base with the one guy that gave me a shot when hope seemed lost... but now that's all changed. And the two of us are very happy!

Then it's time to get ready for a night on the town with a lovely lady that just LOVED my last feature. She can't remember the name... but she LOVES my work... and my Porsche!

If the evening goes well... I will begin the following day banging out a few pages on the next project...

And if the evening doesn't go well... I will write tonight! : )

When people have questions about the nuts and bolts of a story, they come to me. And they listen to the answers I give them.

Still working hard putting together specs while taking meetings for possible OWAs.

Working with my reps to start pushing me as a director for my own work as I write/direct some shorts to show them I can do it.

Have a home office or rented space that is my own area with a nice writing desk and chair.

Have a reliable car and great apartment. A home theater and a big black lazy boy.

A girlfriend or wife that understands my passion.

It looks pretty much as it looks now. Only, the house is mine, the view from my office is of trees and there's a trail nearby on which I run. But I'm still sitting at my desk, writing.

Several scripts, which have become successful movies, are cited as this is how you do such-and-such genre.

The bank account is a little fatter... the day job is a distant memory... there's a nice apartment in the LA area... several more scripts are in various stages of development... there's talk of a best screenplay nomination... but the work goes on, with the best yet to come...

Haven't slept in days.

I always wanted network execs calling me, but I'm seriously contemplating the benefits of a working relationship when a restraining order is involved.

Hmm, maybe a hundred yards is not enough. Stupid cell phones.

The episodes will be out on time. Aren't they always! Well, yeah, but those six episodes were an isolated incident.

Hang on. Got someone on the other line. I'll call you back.

Diga me.

No, it's Spanish.

What do you mean they didn't like the cut? We just went over it an hour ago.

Wait, who is this?

Oh, sorry wrong show.

Yeah, yeah, it's all good. Still got a week till we gotta send that episode to network. All's good.

I just -- hang on got another call. I'll get back.

Diga me.

No, it's -- Never mind.

Don't tell me that. I said, don't tell me that!

Seriously, I don't have time. I'm already juggling four shows, with two in development, and a feature on the way. I can't take on any more work load!

Happy? Well, I'm not most people.

I dunno, you tell me. How the hell is getting picked up for our back nine good news?

Oh, right. The money.

I'm staffed on Tina Fey's post 30 Rock passion project for AMC. It's a drama based on "Designing Women" set in antebellum Georgia. And I'm her favorite staffer, of course.

I'd love to be doing so well to warrant a kidnapping by a crazy mountain lady.

Also I'd like to be completely comfortable with the structure and timing of screenwriting.

I sit across from Jake Gyllenhaal, he smiles (swoon!) and huskily laughs, "I've gotta do this RomCom."

Making pretty stories with my darling, everyday, comic books, genre stuff, heist, supernatural, science fiction, stuff we find fun. Roughly six issues a story, roughly two stories a year (to achieve f/t flight), and one feature length script per story. Industry in rapid evolve mode, so our pin on map swims along, only definite, will be creator-owned avenue. Occasional convention, monkey, now ten, bounces about, charming folks, as ever, still more savvy about comic book continuity than me.

And our transportation? Volkswagen hovercraft, of course.
