I love this. Especially the "bad ideas lead to good ones" philosophy. When my writing partner and I aren't feeling particularly witty or inspired, we'll often write a first draft with bits of place-holder dialog - basically the bland version of what we're trying to convey. It gives us something to come back to while still allowing us to plow through and get the draft done.
