Every profession has something similar. The customer from hell, the clueless boss, the obnoxious coworker, etc.

The degree to which you accept it is based on two things. 1) How much do you really love your job? 2) How much do you really love to eat?

I once saw this spray painted on the side of the Administration Building on a university campus: "I love this ****ing school, and this school loves ****ing me."

I love that quote. The way I read it a while back, it was an actress - one of those from Hollywood's golden age - who said it. I Googled "Who said 'Who do I have to fuck to get off this picture'". to see if there was any veracity to the actress attribution, and this blog was at the top of the list, on top of lots of other hits that didn't really answer the question. But it's nice to see GITS up to top. The hits are paying off.
