Have any of the specs been by first time writers?

Seems like a good amount of sales considering one always hears how specs aren't the way to go right now.

Several. "Evidence" by John Swetnam. I did an interview with him which you can read here. "Dirty Grandpa" by John Phillips. "Genneris" by Nic Kelma. "Maggie" by John Scott III, although that deal unraveled and the script is being shopped again.

The spec market is very active, best it's been in at least a few years.
