Great stuff. Stumbled upon this nugget of wisdom myself through my own hubris.

Back when I'd "had it" with all things screenwriting, I decided I'd take the "high road" and write my novel.

Only to find, not too soon after, that it's essentially the same game, as Haas pointed out. Only a select few can noodle around aimlessly and make it readable, let alone shelf-worthy.

So I came back "home" to screenwriting... a comfy place to be. ;D
