While Leia says I love you, Han's response is perfect. It's the only way his character could say "I love you" as well.

In addition, I linked to the whole scene because the business with Chewy is also Han's way of showing he loves Leia. He stops Chewy from going ape-shit when they're about to freeze his master so that Chewy will be there to protect Leia.

That and John Williams music cues / swell is just awesome as well :)

We looked at some aspects of Casablanca this week, so "Here's looking at you, kid." immediately comes to mind.

I've just watched Oliver Stone's "Wall Street" again.

Great movie, and stands up well in today's world. Substitute 'offshoring' for 'asset stripping' and the moral questions are still the same.

But I think we'll go with ways of saying I love you without saying I love you. As James and Annika contributed two examples.
