Red wasn't a good movie by any means. First off all, Willis seemed to be bored, as he appears to be in every movie he does, lately.
Malkovich and Mirren were the only parts who made it at least a little watchable. But, let's face it, the script was mediocre at best.
The protagonist missed the whole third act! Bummer. Well, more on-screen time for Mirren and Malkovich, alright. But not a great choice script-wise.
I wonder how so many stars were attracted to that thing. Freeman's character died so pathetically. And it all seemed to be more like a
Van Damme/Lundgren-vehicle than anything else. The Hoeber brothers are now writing Battleship - The Movie... how adequate. I sense a sinking ship.
(Nothing against them, really. But this film really bummed me out.)
