Good question Anug, and great answer Scott!

This is something I've been worrying about recently as the first act of the script I'm currently working on runs for about 39 pages.

But as you said, I expect that can be trimmed back.

Looking forward to Trimming Tricks of the Trade.

Definitely don't "paint by the numbers" as they call it. Just write a story. Some stories require more set up, others can jump right into the action. It just depends on many things. Just make sure it's entertaining ;)

Thanks, Scott for your response. Look forward to your 'Trimming Tricks.'

From what I am aware, most of the film-making folks in India cut their own trailers. Majority struggle to do a great job, typically being lost on - what to say; the focus tends to be on cute-intended dialogues to portray appealing actors.
