Tom Shadyac pulled a “Great McGinty”? Awesome!

That was tremendous. I found a poem he was quoting from:

Every child has known God

Every child has known God,
Not the God of names,
Not the God of don’ts,
Not the God who ever does Anything weird,
But the God who knows only 4 words.
And keeps repeating them, saying:
“Come Dance with Me , come dance.”

-- Hafiz

Which led to even more spiritual illumination:

Glad it happened to a storyteller who knew how to weave a compelling experience for the audience. I think Studs Terkel would have loved this documentary. I'm certainly looking forward to it. May it move many people's hearts.

Skimmed reviews to see what splash resulted, first one began positive, then by end he stated Shadyac was well intentioned but since he didn't specifically refer to reviewer's God and hold him above all others, work was (fatally) flawed. Another reviewer, a self-described pessimist, was deeply inspired and left optimistic about humanity. I suspect that's decent cross section of responses Shadyac can expect.
