Hard to pick a favorite work of his. Blake Edwards was the first to really make me laugh and made me want to get into comedy in some way. Blake Edwards wherever you are may all the punch lines hit.

"The Party" & "Victor/Victoria" are probably my two favorites.

For me... everything was gold. From Peter Gunn right up to That's Life and even, in some ways, A Perfect Mess, Sunset, Skin Deep... everything.

Besides Woody Allen, he was the ONE director that seemed to speak directly to my own fears and anxieties and failings and views on life and love, etc.

And, of course, he knew how to make an entire theater of people laugh their asses off. A gift, indeed.

Another master, gone.

Very sad.

Forgive me.. A FINE Mess, that is. Which, while somewhat awkward and daffy, is actually a rather funny movie!
