Thanks so much for that. I've been using the same technique since I started writing (albeit just on school/work computers or notepads, because I don't have a blackberry), but I'm usually thinking only of specific scenes or jokes. It's interesting to see how Apatow works on his different ideas for themes within his emails -- something I'm going to have to start doing.

I'll do him one better. I'm writing my own special program for that on my Win Phone 7.

Interesting how he's casting the characters even as he's pre-writing!
