I really enjoyed this post. Even Seven, Fincher had managed to always use the sound to another level, keeping subtle, but very unique in that it highlights. Has the same approach in other aspects of filmmaking, such as the use of compost, as Panic Room, which travels through the house and used CG elements in subtle ways. It is one of the best films of this generation.
