Big fan of the comic. Wish they hadn't drawn out the pilot like they did. A lot of the stuff you've "seen before" is in that episode.

A lot of the stuff that makes the series awesome comes just a little later...

P.S. I always thought that the title had less to do with the undead and more to do with those still alive.

Loved Dead Set, haven't seen the Walking Dead yet, but will have to find it now.
In YA novels there's been a few attempts to make zombies sexy, but most haven't done too well.
We've had Vampires/Werewolves, Zombie's/Mummies, Frankenstein/human experimentation. I wonder what's left in the monster world, Cthulu still hasn't really had his day.

OMG Walking Dead! So good. And gooey. We've been in total geek heaven. Has been particularly fascinating noting the changes Darabont made (in moving the story from comic book to film) to make it all sing better on the screen. And my does it sing nice (scared the bejeezuz out of me, and I knew what was going to happen). So glad Kirkman and Darabont found each other (and Kirkman turned down a whole lot of offers for Walking Dead before hooking up with Darabont).
