I'd personally like to see a Catwoman story -- a romantic love interest angle for Batman and his vigilantism.

But the title makes me think it's the Penguin.

Batman villains tend to have this weird relationship with Batman. They tend to be the dark side of a specific trait of Bruce Wayne. Sort of the "what if" Bruce Wayne had been pushed too far in one direction.

The Joker was the antithesis of Batman's vigilantism.

The Penguin is the corporate side of that coin. If Bruce Wayne was a power hungry money grubbing business tycoon he'd be the Penguin.

Thematically, it kinda fits into Nolan's more realistic portrayal of Batman. I look forward to seeing a Nolan version. I found The Penguin to always be rather cartoonish. Would be interesting to see a reality grounded Penguin.

Rubbish, the Governator donnes his refrigerator again. Mr. Freeze will be back.

I would like to see Victor Zsasz or Bane (the one from the comics, not the brain-dead one from the Batman & Robin)... but in the end I don't care. Nolan will pull it off, no matter what villain he draws from the hat.

"Batman Rises"... Is Nolan making a veiled sexual reference here? Hope so. His films could use a little less machinery and a little more steam, IMO.

James: Nolan already said he won't be using The Penguin in any film.

This is a pretty banal title but I am curious who the new villian will be. I hope Nolan dosen't pull another "Ras Al Ghul" and totally strip away a great character.
