Berlanti is one of my favorite TV writers and was probably one of the youngest show-runners when he took over "Dawson's Creek" at age 27. The show was in its third season, most of the writing staff was new and they hired a show-runner who didn't get the show and really didn't know what he was doing.

Berlanti had been on the show only about a year, but when he did a page one rewrite (on the Thanksgiving ep, if anyone's curious) in just one weekend, he was promoted and stayed through the end of season four. He left to develop "Everwood," one of the best dramas of all time, in my opinion.

Berlanti's absolutely on my "must interview" list. I could talk to the guy for two hours and probably still only scratch the surface.

P.S. "Dawson's" fans can find a lot of insight into Berlanti's era in Jeffrey Stepkoff's book "Million Dollar Kiss," a must-read for any budding TV writer.

I can't wait to watch this movie. Berlanti, Guggenheim and Green make an excellent writing team. This movie will be great beyond words.
