Thank you for the remembrance, Scott. I didn't know Diane's story. I do now. A skilled writer and storyteller. A sad loss for filmgoers. And a bitter irony for Douglas to endure.

I am sitting here watching the movie for about the 7th time. It is still enjoyable. Even though I know the next line, the next action the actor will take, the next scene the director has cut, I am STILL sucked in. Clearly Diane had great talent. I remember seeing this movie as a kid. It is a joy to re-discover all the clever, witty, and humorous tidbits she sprinkled throughout the script while still delivering a cohesive, engaging love story. Pretty darn cool :)
