I doubt it'll happen but if it does go forward, I'm certain that Murray will hold them to killing him off in the first reel.

Sidenote: a while back I rented Year One, thinking that there was no way it could possibly be as bad as everyone said. Maybe it was a bust as a theatrical release, I told myself, but surely it would be acceptable on DVD.

I don't know if I've ever been so wrong. It was truly, truly terrible.

I'm going to say something blasphemous probably to a lot of people... the original "Ghostbusters" just isn't that funny or that good of a film. Go ahead and rewatch it, I dare you!

BSR - I am always attracted, like some sort of moronic moth to the flame, to films dubbed "the worst of all time." And quite often there is something there that made the viewing worthwhile: Ishtar (the songs made me chuckle), Howard the Duck (an abomination but strangely kinda' fun anyway), Heaven's Gate (pretty on eye). But "YEAR ONE" was simply rotten on all counts and caused me to question the sanity of all involved.

The Unknown Lyricist - in some ways I agree with you though as a fifth grader, it was tops. I think it simply is a film for its time, y'know? In 1982 Ghostbuster fever really gripped the kids in my neighborhood.
