I love these interviews. Two of Dunne's comments really hit home for me.

1) The writer's nightmare. I didn't know this was the name for it, but I have been trying to "solve" my story for 6 months now at least. It's a great story. A classic noir script complete with narration, but I can't figure out how to wrap it up. This has kept me from writing it, and kept me from working on other projects as well, apart from a bit of brainstorming. My natural tendency to procrastinate doesn't help.

2) Obviously his brief comments on the difficulty of writing endings is the other part I completely agree with.

That said, his comments give me hope that I'm not alone, and that it can be done if I keep my head down. Maybe I'm overthinking it.
