Always write something, anything, everyday.

Not so much a mantra, but invokes thought (by Richard Walter, paraphrase): "Writers love to have written, but hate writing."

I created the following to keep my sense of humor while writing:

"Write, write, write your "bloat",
gently on the screen;
Wearily, wearily, wearily, wearily,
Editing's but a dream.

You repeat this mantra often, and it is very very obvious-- but it's always great to hear it again and again and again!

My mantra is: sit - write / read - enjoy
