I cannot count the number of people that I have turned onto this site. Back in 95 and before, my references were Baseline (too expensive) and Halliwell's. When IMDB came along I immediately had two thoughts:

This will kill Baseline.
I will have my own page on this site.

Baseline evolved and still thrives to this day.

But, I do have my entries and my page on IMDB :)

Halliwells! I have two copies of the actual book, one from 1987, the other from 1999. I still browse through them from time to time, just to read movie logline summaries. I've brainstormed quite a few story concepts that way.

Having the IMDB app on my iPhone is the next best thing to an implant.

@Ken King: I have the iPhone IMDB app, too, but it's not as good as my proposed brain chip implant thingee. There you could just think: "bizarre horror film early career francis ford coppola" and this would appear in your mind. Maybe the prototype would involve tugging on your ear or blowing your nose to facilitate the process, but still better than an iPhone app, right?

My life would be meaningless without IMDb and Amazon.
