Good, valuable advice! That scene isn't a stellar example, though. It's purple, loaded with passive voice, jerky. It doesn't draw the eye smoothly down the page. Here it is rewritten according to your mantra:

INT. CHASE HOTEL

The cops cover Trinity. Relaxed. They've got all the guns.

The Big Cop proffers the cuffs --

Faster than humanly possible -- Trinity moves!

Her palm snaps up -- his nose explodes. She kicks -- he flies across the room, slams into one of the cops.

The cops open fire. Bullets rake the walls, flashlights teeter, panicked. Chaos.

One final exchange of gunfire and it's over.

The only one standing -- Trinity.
