A couple of years ago I was doing coverage in New York and this script came across my path (it was the version with a flashback). I recently went back through all of the coverage I did that summer to see which scripts I was right about. This was one of two scripts I recommended out of maybe sixty or so, and I'm happy to see it has made its way to the screen. I still remember my closing remarks -- "It isn't your summer blockbuster, but strong performances will turn this script into an award winner."

I passed by a poster for this movie when I walked by a theater, and I'm so behind on my movie news that I had no idea what it was about. I'm super glad you posted this interview though, because it sounds like exactly my thing. I have to see it.
